Looks we Love: Demi Moore on Chelsea Lately

This picture isn't doing her justice...but Demi Moore looked amazing last night on Chelsea Handler's Big Interview Special.  We love her hair...it's distracting how great her hair is.  She is allegedly a long time lover of weave!

To  achieve Demi's look we'd recommend Bohyme Soft Wave in Color Jet Black 14" to achieve her soft waves.  You'd need to use two entire packages to achieve her density of hair.  Some bobby pins and and denman brush would help soothe the waves into her elegant yet sexy side swept hair.

Looks we Love: Toni Braxton's new Album Cover

Yay!  We love Toni Braxton and we're exciting she's trucking along with the releasing her new album Pulse on May 4.   We love the soft and pretty look of her new album...

We're not quite sure how to recreate Toni's look.  She's a known fan on pre-tipped hair extensions.  We'd say she has blends of color 27, 30 and 6 to create warm honey highlights to a light caramel brown base.  We're guessing 16 inches achieves Toni's perfect flowing length.

Pulse  is available for pre-sale on Amazon but we're not quite ready to buy on pre-sale like we were with Sade...but we are very excited to hear what Ms. Braxton has to offer her fans.

What a lovely and elegant statment Keri made at the NAACP Image Awards this past Friday.  We love the tousled waves and her longer tresses.

Looks we Love: Nicky Minaj on Fader Cover

Yes we are guilty of being late on the bandwagon of Nicky Minaj.  But we've actually been a fan of her and her Barbie of Rap image for a long long time...

But there's something about her on the cover of Radar that casts a soft glow on Ms. Nicky Minaj that we finally declare it a look we love.  What we have a feeling is going to be the first of many looks we love.

To recreate Ms. Minaj's look there's only two things you need:  Indian Hair Natural Wave dyed Jet Black in 22"  with two rows of Lord & Cliff Crystal Silky in Baby Pink underneath.

Feathery & Ethereal: Rihanna at 2010 Grammys Love the Inspiration not the Look

Rihanna's Grammy Look
Bebe at ShopStyle
Feathery & Ethereal....recreate Rihanna's Red Carpet Look with frosted blue and silver eyeshadows, metallic nails and feathery...

We didn't love the  dress... we haven't loved the hair since she embraced this poodle nonsense but...we did like the Ethereal feel of her overall look.  Silver Nails and Pale Blue Eyeshadow is a fun way to embrace the waning days of winter.

The Real JWow: Jennifer Hudson 2010 Grammys

Roksanda Ilincic at ShopStyle

Wow!!!!

J. Hud is now J. Wow!  She's been a Sunny's Girl for years thanks to her wonderful stylist Elijah Cohen!  We love her...she's never looked more amazing and we are so happy to see a out in the open Sunny's Girl on the red carpet (believe us...there are many more but we don't take discretion lightly)

Celeb Looks we Love: Beyonce Grammy's 2010

Giambattista Valli at ShopStyle

Wow...she looked great... wasn't what we were expecting but... if you want to Shop her Style... I think the only thing you can really recreate with Beyonce's Grammy look is Spanx and Butt Pads

Beyonce's hair was very light...something that I think is becoming a Grammy tradition.  She didn't go for the tousled waves we were hoping for but it was nice to see Beyonce in this body hugging gown by Stephane Rolland.

Celeb Looks we Love: Beyonce Allure Magazine

Allure Magazine features a gorgeous layout with the lovely Beyonce in this month's Allure.  She's one of our most overlooked looks we love.  The effortless hair styled by the  impeccable Kim Kimble is so tousled and it's nice to see the lovely Ms. B look a little deconstructed.

Looks we Love: Megan Fox

She's stunning.  She may not think so...but Megan Fox is the new face of Emporio Armani ads.  We love the old Hollywood sex symbol glamour she exudes in the new ads.

How to recreate Megan's look?  We'd recommend 18" Silky Straight Clip Ins set with hot rollers to recreate the volume and body that she has in these ads.

Golden Globes Recap: Looks we Love

Ummm....let's just say one person shut it down.  Ms. Halle Berry we understand why they make songs about you.  Her look was flawless and inspired us all to get the gym and call our trainer Ramone asap.

Other notable looks we love:

Since we sell hair...we absolutely love Penelope Cruz's simple and elegant waves.  The rich color and the effortless grace she exudes is always a  look we love.

Looks we Love: Kate Gosselin's New Hair Extensions

Kate Gosselin is now crowned the ultimate Sunny's Girl!

People think we exaggerate when we say our motto is Change your Hair... Change your Life!

But any woman who has gone through emotional times knows that when the metamorphosis is complete on the inside we need a physical manifestation of the change.

Getting new hair extensions, dyeing your hair or getting an edgy new haircut signals to the world...I'm done feeling sad, or sorry for myself.  I'm ready to change my life.

So we say, it was worth every penny Kate!  ( a reportedly 7,000 dollars for sourcing European Hair Extensions and the celebrity stylist Ted Gibson)

Looks we Love: Laura Izibor

We stumbled across Laura Izibor's music the other day and we love her natural tresses.  She embraces the texture and styles her curls with a spunk that is still elegant.  So much so that we declare Laura Ibizor a look we love!
How would we recreate her look?  12" Bohyme Brazilian Wave dry cut with some face framing layers in color 2/30.   Allow the hair to dry in two strand twists to have a more defined look or allow it to air dry as it is for a look more like Laura.

Looks we Love: Sister Edition

We love the Simmons Sisters Double Cover for this month issue Of Honey Magazine.

In the interview they discuss their love of extensions while still embracing their own hair:

Vanessa: I just took out all my extensions and [certain sites] are like, “Oh, we don’t believe it” but it’s all my hair.

Angela: At the end of the day, we got hair under these weaves.

Holiday Party Ready Hair

Holiday Party season is in full swing!

Take a cue from your favorite celebrities. Elle.com features a great photo gallery this month on celebrity inspired Holiday hair styles.

To recreate these looks here some tips:

Ciara: Go bold with a long ponytail piece. With the help of 7 pcs extensions in 18" clip in all the small pieces towards the center of your head and slick into a sleek ponytail. Use Tancho Stick or any pomade to secure your hair along the perimeter. Tip: Clip in some pieces towards the nape of your neck upside down so that they slick into a ponytail easier.

Sienna: Channel your inner 40's screen goddess by clipping in 14" Hair Extensions or the Lord & Cliff One Piece. Create gentle waves with a 2" curling iron. To achieve Sienna's gorgeous color opt for colors such as 16/22 or 140/22

Beyonce: Opt for ease and experiment with a Full Lace Wig with Natural Curls. Color such as 6/16/24 will deliver Beyonce's trademark golden locks without damaging your own tresses.

Kate: Nothing grabs attention at a holiday party then giving off the illusion you cut your tresses into a graduated tousled bob. Recreate the look by loosely pinning waves at the nape of your neck and allowing some waves to naturally fall forward.

Looks we Love: Kim Kardashian

We know, we know.

We always love Kim K.

But we can't help it. She has fabulous hair.

To recreate her look we use the Lord & Cliff One Piece Extension in color 2 and put in soft waves with a 1 1/2" Curling Iron. We would then use a bump it to secure volume near the crown. BTW... bump it's are randomly so so great! Why didn't someone invent them much sooner?

So...there you have it...Kim K. We can't wait to see Keeping up with the Kardashians this Sunday!!!

Rumor Has It... Serena is in High Demand

The New York Times has "time capsule" piece on the increased requests for "Gossip Girl" hair specifically Blake Lively.

With over 713,000 results for the search for Blake Lively hair... her toussled and effortless hair is making a cultural impact a la "The Rachel" of the 90's.

The NY Times reports:

For those who haven’t won the genetic lottery, Mr. John Barrett adds removable extensions of human hair similar to a fall ($1,200 to $1,500 per piece) and recommends a litany of treatments to maintain Ms. Lively’s look. Not including the extensions, just the cut, which costs around $500 at his salon, conditioning treatments and heat styling tally up to around $1,200 a month.

A small price to pay, some would say, to look like a star.

At Sunny's we have a much more affordable and realistic suggestions. 18" Lord & Cliff Clip In Extensions in 7 pcs. We the hair and spray with David Babaii Bohemian Beach Mist and scrunch the natural wave pattern in the clip in extensions and diffuse with a blow dryer on a low setting.

For more defined waves you could set the hair with the Beach Mist and braid in large sections and allow to air dry. Once the hair is completely dry while still in the braid wrap the bottom three inches along a 1" curling iron barrel.

To achieve Blake's stunning golden blonde tones try colors such as 6/16/12/613, 10/16/24, and 18/24

Looks we Love: Carrie Underwood

Carrie's Album debuts today!

This country music diva always manages to achieve just the perfect tone of blonde.

To recreate Carrie's effortless style:

  • Use the Lord & Cliff 7 pcs Extensions in 14" in Color 16/22
  • Place 5 of the 7 Pieces in beginning at the nape of the neck and working about two inches from the crown
  • Use a light thermal protectant to protect the hair such as Chi Hot Sauce
  • Use a 3/4 inch flat iron to create a soft wave by wrapping the hair the outside of the iron
  • Allow the hair to cool and brush out the waves

We can't wait to hear Carrie's new album.

Looks we Love: Toni Braxton ... So Yesterday

OMG!!!!

We love it Toni! We love it!

Radiant at our Atlanta location just made a custom wig for a celebrity Sunny's Girl... so we were thrilled to see Toni Braxton rocking a similar style on her latest video for So Yesterday.

If you are looking for your own custom wig come to Sunny's to discuss your options!

Plus we love how her set is an ode to Hollywood Regency style that inspired our Sunny's Cash Wrap.

Looks we Love: Naomi Campbell by Michael Kors

Francois Nars the legendary makeup artist and founder of NARS Cosmetics, releases his book of celebrity portraits to celebrate the 15 year anniversary of his cosmetics company.

While Naomi is such an a amazing palatte if you wanted to recreate her look this is the Sunny's Girl recommendations:

1. Purchase Bohyme Egyptian Wave in 14" and 18" in Color # 2

2. Have your stylist sew in a full head of extensions and razor in blunt bangs and soft face framing layers. The 14" package of Bohyme Egyptian Wave should be used on top to create natural layers and the 18" should be used at the nape of the neck to create the length.

3. Wash hair with Ever Pure by Loreal and then allow the hair to dry with a diffuser to control the soft natural wave of the hair.

4. Line your eyes with a soft kohl eyeliner in a dark brown shade and add plum and neutral eye shadows in the crease of lid. Finish off the eye with black mascara:  a personal staff fave is Dior Show Blackout in Black 099

5. Dust the cheeks with Taj Mahal by NARS to deliver a soft accent to your cheekbones.

6. Channel your innermost diva!

Looks we Love: Melanie Fiona

The song It Kills Me by Melanie Fiona was playing in our store the other day and we liked what we heard so much that we decided to look her up online. She is a look we love!!!

We're sure we've stumbled upon someone to look out for.

To recreate Melanie's long feminine locks we recommend Natural Wave Indian Hair in 22". We'd blow dry the hair until is 90% dry and then spray a lightweight hairspray on 1" sections of the hair and wrap it on the outside of the barrel of a 1 1/2" curling iron. Allow the curls to cool and then brush out with a wide paddle brush to diffuse movement into the hair style.
